About:
The San Diego Black Birthworkers Collective began in 2023 as a space to build community amongst Black birthworkers in San Diego County. From 2023 to 2025, the collective hosted over fifteen community focused events through partnership with local birthworkers and community organizations.
Now in a place of transformation, the collective aims to create tangible avenues of support for Black birthworkers through continuing to host events while also offering a Birthworker-Community Fund which will provide transportation and food assistance to Black birthworkers and families alike.
The collective currently operates independently with a fiscal sponsor.
